Ulster Carpets, is a family owned and managed company based in Northern Ireland, with a record of more than 70 years of dedication to quality, service and the pursuit of excellence.  Three generations of the family have taken pride in ensuring the most skilled crafts men and women produce the highest quality carpets, using the finest materials.

All woven axminster and wilton ranges are produced at the company’s headquarters in Northern Ireland.  The company also controls all aspects of manufacturing from the selection of materials through yarn spinning (at their plant in Yorkshire – Ulster Yarns), weaving and finishing. This ensures quality control, consistency in colour and long term security of supply.  All their tufted products are produced at their sister site in Denmark - Danfloor. 

Ulster’s woven ranges combine the softness, comfort and warmth of wool (80%), with the hard-wearing properties of nylon (20%). These wool rich carpets use only the finest British and New Zealand wool’s that exude softness, luxury and warmth.  All residential ranges are available in multi-widths and the company has recently become the first manufacturer to offer woven wilton carpets in 5m widths, reducing waste and seams.

By developing innovative new technologies they continue to manufacture all woven goods exclusively in the UK and Ireland. In recognition of their efforts they received a Queen’s award for innovation in 2006.  More recently they became the first UK textile company to achieve the Carbon Trust Award, assuring customers of their commitment to environmental conservation through the reduction of carbon emissions year on year.
